Parenthood: an excellent reason for exhaustion.
Childhood: an excellent reason for laundry.
Babyhood: excellent reason for midnight wakefulness.
Everyday grace: bringing blessings into focus.
……
Our topic this week: COUNTING OUR BLESSINGS. Six words. Give it to us.
Write yours in the comments, or post on your own blog (and then add your link to our list!). Or tweet it, with tag #sixwordfridays.
Wonder what we’re up to here? Want me to email you next week’s topic? Check out the Six Word Fridays info page.

Beautiful, Melissa. Thanks for always hosting this every Friday.
Thanks, Belinda! I love Fridays– reading everyone else’s brilliant words.
I am mesmerized by the photo.
I count my blessings for you
And the community you have created.
You guys bless me weekly, too.
Yes, the everyday grace of family life. Wouldn’t change it for the world (even the amount of laundry).
Though if there was a way to change the amount of laundry without changing the family, well. I could be persuaded.
Accepting and extending grace ~ so important to each day. It’s so true how focus and perspective (Molly’s post) change when I/we are able to do just that. Wonderful prompt ~ really looking forward to reading what everyone writes today!
Aren’t the posts great today?!
Grace keeps my perspective in check.
Abby! Owen! Kylee! Audrey! Mia! Sadie!
Last, but not least, precious Eli!
Of course! Best of all blessings.
Despite the sleep-deprived delirium, rocking a baby in your arms at midnight (or 2 a.m.) remains one of the great blessings of life. Glad you’re enjoying it.
Or midnight AND 2am…
Melissa, I think it’s wonderful how you have helped many of us here adjust our perspectives – to see the blessings instead of the alternative. Thank you for hosting such a great series. While I don’t always link up, I often come here to be inspired by the words I find here and from those who partake. Six words, no less, but always so much more.
Justine, thank you for this. I love reading the collection of perspectives every week! It’s all of us together that makes it… more.
Try to imagine your current life before the advent of the washing machine! Blessings indeed!
I don’t even want to imagine! We’d be much muddier. Have a higher tolerance for spit-up smell. Or at least we would have to pretend we did.
Beautiful, Melissa.
Thank you, Ayala!
Hi Melissa, thanks for stopping by my blog. I found your blog last Friday through Justine and contemplated jumping on the six word topic, but failed :/.. definitely will try it out soon.
There’s always another Friday! (Knowing this is what gets me through most Mondays…
)
