Thing 1: My floors are not going to get swept today.
Thing 2: But only because there are train tracks set up all over the place.

I couldn’t agree more. My carpet is not getting vacuumed right now because there happens to be a herd of tiny dinosaurs on it. I think it’s perfectly acceptable to let the housework slide for the sake of play, imagination and teamwork.
A dinosaur invasion is a good reason to skip almost anything, I think.

And I did! The only problem with that method is that by the time they fall asleep, my back would like to be done for the day. Actually, come to think of it, all of me would really like to be done for the day!
