Morning: Clean shirt. Skirt. That’ll do.
Later morning: Bicycle helmets for everyone!
Later morning still: Bugs. In jars.
Online: Shoes that fit. I hope.
After lunch: Books. Yes, I’ll read.
Afternoon: Solutions to logic puzzles, phew.
Late afternoon: Fresh chalk for coloring.
Still later: Energy for making dinner!
And then: Whoops, no dinner plan.
In the cupboard: Noodles for dinner!
Before bedtime: Sadie’s blanket. THANK GOODNESS.
Perfect bedtime story: Winnie the Pooh.
Late night: several quiet minutes. Ahhh.

Oh that sounds like such a successful day. I read somewhere that the average woman spends 55 minutes each DAY looking for things. It sounds like just maybe you are bringing down that average. (Yeah, yeah, I know, more than six words here. It’s early, OK? Haven’t had my brain-sharpening coffee yet.)
You’re under no obligation to leave six-word comments!
Felt like a busy successful day!
Nice to think of “finds,” though…
Jen, are you kidding, 55 minutes! What I could do that with that time.
And searching for quiet at the end of the day? Worth ALL the effort.
Happy Friday Melissa!
I know, 55 minutes! Come back…
Happy Friday to you, too, Christine!
My favorite item: Bugs in jars. That’s summer for you!
Just keep the jars outdoors, please…
I dislike finding them in bedrooms!
Melissa,
I love being taken through your day in such a creative way. I had (ALMOST) forgotten how hectic life can be fore you young mothers! I applaud the way you seamlessly put this piece together, and it really appears that your day was one smooth segue to another. I hope so!
cj
Thank you! Sort of seamless. Seamless-ish.
Ahh, what a very wonderful list.
I especially love the noodle dinner.
I do that ALL. THE. TIME.
Yay, I’m not the only one!
I am terrible at dinner lately.
But noodles, eh, could be worse.
Every day I lose my mind.
And then find it again, somewhere.
At least you find it again!
Mine’s been missing since early 2001.
Ok, things I have found:
Courage to trust my instincts finally.
The universe listens, talk out loud.
Organic raspberries are cheap at Vons.
Stash of Candy Cane green tea.
Unopened box of frozen Thin Mints .
Shaping up to be a good Friday
Candy Cane green tea equals YUM.
Maybe dip frozen Thin Mints in?
Glad your instincts are being honored.
May your every wish be fulfilled.
Searching–I feel like half my time is spent looking for things. But to find them brings such relief (especially at bedtime). Happy Friday!
Bedtime, or JUST before! Relief indeed.
It may be more than half…
55 minutes at the very least.
What I found…
My patience is almost non-existent today.
Fun exercise!
Perhaps it will appear again tomorrow!
I always like to think so…
