We seem to be similarly inflicted with some unknown thing, that is causing later bedtimes, earlier (read:crankier) wake-up times, and no to very little napping.

Sigh.

I sure as heck hope it's teething -- at least teething has a finite end!

Ugh, thrush. I hope not, but I will check.

I have that bread book on hold at the library! I can't wait to try it out. I'm glad to hear you like it-- I didn't know anybody who had tried it in real life yet. :)

ok, i am just throwing this out there because it happened to me at that age with the bean. all the things you speak of. and -- it was thrush. after never ever ever having it ever and with no real reason i could see for it to suddenly pop up.

the thing is i went along for two or three weeks thinking it was teething, or just toddlerness, and so on and then finally realized it was thrush and treated it and he was better w/in two days. boy was i kicking my sleep deprived self in the butt after that experience.

ok, its probably not thrush but in case i could help i am just throwing it out there.

kinda like teeth but not quite.

p.s. i remember a million years ago (or maybe a year ago) on twitter we exchanged a bread baking moment. i have been baking a ton of bread using the healthy bread in 5 mins a day book. for some reason i am telling you right now. could be i just took bread out of the oven and happened to be commenting here and thought of that old twitter exchange.

long comment over now.

It's a good theory. :)

I didn't remember that you suggested teeth! But you're in good company, I think like two dozen people have said that to me in the past week. And you may all yet be right!

Well, I don't know about you, but I know when I'm cranky, it is my teeth.

Ok. not really.

Perhaps it's our need for there to be some sort of predictability for small children? Like they are little mechanisms that tick along merrily as long as no parts are disturbed? Except--surprise! They're not watches, they're people!

Now I'm blushing that I offered the "teeth" theory the other day. :)
