Me, dressed up. Or at least made up. Or at least eyeliner-ed in weird places with construction paper ears stuck to my head:

We carved pumpkins. Dane tried to talk us out of it, but only because he’s mess-averse and also didn’t want to have to finish all four pumpkins when the children got bored and/or frustrated and wandered off. Which happened. But didn’t he do a great job finishing up for everyone?

Owen was aiming for traditional:

Abigail wanted a very feminine pumpkin face. I think she managed it:

Sadie didn’t care at all, so the design of this one fell to Dane. You might notice that he chose a brief phrase, and one involving no curved letters. Those things were absolutely on purpose.

Audrey wanted a Creepy Pumpkin Face. In fact, after carving, she named her pumpkin Creepy. “It’s perfect!” she said, admiring her final creepy product. Judge for yourself. Unlit, and lit:

Three-year-olds may have an unorthodox view of “creepy.”
And now we’re all caught up. Welcome to November!

Audrey’s is definitely creepy… check out the pumpkin scar.
That’s what Dane says too– Scarface Pumpkin. Cheery and scarred.
I love Scarface Pumpkin! And feminine pumpkin is quite bewitching, too.
Why thank you! On behalf of the pumpkin designers, of course. I kind of think each one has it’s own brand of awesome.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment on “Pickle Talks.” Wow, you have a lot of kids in close range. I have three, but my oldest is 7-9 years older than the other two. He’s a BIG help (when he’s not a moody teenager).
I’m looking forward to learning more about your writing and your family!
Hi Corrie! Thanks for returning the visit.
