[...] last two were long and should count for 1.5 each, right? No? Oh, here’s something: I’m using my burst of ambition to come up with goals for the year. I don’t know what they are yet, but I’m thinking about it. [...]

I got my sewing machine out of the garage rafters and will attempt to transform Isa's favorite blanket (our cal king duvet cover) into several smaller sized pieces. I made need some rescuing if I butcher it. I haven't sewn anything since high school!

I'm afraid I'll make a really thorough list and then run out of ambition (never mind energy, I already have none). And then I'll have a list of Things I Haven't Done to taunt me.

I'm making lots of lists. Then misplacing them. Then making more lists. I like to cross things off when I'm done. Which requires actually doing things and having the list handy when I do, which obviously doesn't happen often. But I'm very energetic about the whole circus.

Annie, I am familiar with the "wait till there's no more left" strategy, but I never manage the catch-up part of it. Which may be why the dishwasher is running for the second time this morning, but there are still lunch dishes on the table. Hmmm...

Apart from getting up on my roof on January 3rd to replace the blown-off shingles, so far this year I've had a tendency to put off whatever should be done and do something else instead. Doesn't matter what - just Anything Else. Until we're down to the last clean glass, underpants, whatever. Then I find myself doing the dishes or laundry at 5:30 am, before I head out to work. But it seems to be working! Just don't ask me what my Christmas tree is still doing up...

Anjali, I totally need to do that. I don't know when I actually will.

Laura, you're always welcome to vent! Four months old is a hard age-- just search ask moxie for "four month old"! Oh my.

My holiday laundry is still waiting in piles, and I keep finding more Christmas tree ornaments under the couch, behind the kids' bedroom door, and in sock drawers. Sigh.

I've been just keeping my head above water after the influx of toys and gifts from x-mas. I'm working on thinning the number of toys in the house and then hopefully I can get started on taking down the x-mas decorations. I have a four mo. old and she is going through one of those stages you mentioned where she wants to be in-arms all the time! not to mention she's been grunting and feeding a lot more at night waking me up 20+ times. OK maybe not that much. I'm still waiting for a burst of energy to get those toys organized, I used up my last burst on piles of holiday laundry:)Thanks for the chance to vent a little!
