That was pretty much what Nikki got out of it, too.
That’s what my kids said too… I told them we should be good patriots and give them one of our dogs. They were not amused.
Sounds patriotic to me!
I tried to explain about how there were people at the white house who would clean up after the dog, and no people like that live at our house. No one was impressed with my argument.
In our house, it’s my husband lobbying (pun intended) for a puppy. “We could adopt a nice, mellow, potty-trained senior dog,” I say. “I want a puppy,” he says.
