Yeah, me too. I'm never sure of email or even IM etiquette.

Obviously, someone should hang up first but how do we decide?

Even before computer, I was one of those people who spent 30 minutes saying goodnight at the door.

Don’t you love it when you’ve responded so many times you’re down to one word answers and you forget what you’re talking about? I do that a lot.
