bringing in the mail

There is something unsettling about receiving a Heifer magazine and a Pottery Barn catalog in the mail at the same time.

Just… wrong.

   As long as my photo isn’t on the cover of the Heifer magazine, I’m all good.

   For a while after we moved to our current home, we continued to get flyers and magazines for the preivous occupants… and it always cracked me up to get Willem’s “Discover” magazine at the same time as an invitation to a conference on the astrophysical nature of one’s inner crystalline selves AND a fundamentalist Christian revival. There was an interesting mix of beliefs hanging out in my mailbox for a while…
