		<description>I used the bumper until the kids were strong enough to rip the little ties off it and throw it on the floor.  Then I took the hint.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There&#039;s a school of thought that crib bumpers are ALWAYS bad... and there&#039;s a school of thought that you could keep your kid in a hermetically sealed room with no sharp corners and only organic foods and they&#039;d still find a way to get bruises and sniffles, so do what feels right instead of worrying about &quot;should.&quot; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have a Ph.D. from that second school.</description>
