Things I am liking about the new blogger beta:
• That sucker is QUICK. You hit publish, it publishes! No more of this “6% published… 14% published… 42% published…” nonsense.
• The new look of the dashboard. Okay, I actually don’t care about this at all, but it does not tick me off in any way.
• Blogger no longer tries to get me to switch to the beta every time I log in. Because I already gave in and switched.
Things I am NOT SO MUCH LIKING about the new blogger beta:
• It will. not. remember. my login and password, even though I tell it to Remember Me! every stinking time I log in.
• It does not remember that I am logged in.
• Every time I try to leave a comment on a blog, I have to re-log in. Every time. No matter what. Even if I just logged in ten seconds ago. Even if I am logged in to the blogger dashboard in another window. Every time.
• Re-logging in involves navigating AWAY from the comment page, thus LOSING my brilliant (hahaha) comment, unless I think of copying it first. Which I only occasionally do.
• The log-in bit is BENEATH the comment box, so I write a lengthy comment before realizing I’m not logged in. Every time.
Driving. Me. NUTS.

I know, it drives me nuts too. I usually use the “Other” option, since it usually remembers my username and password in those fields and then I don’t lose my precious comment.
Except, of course, right now it won’t remember any of my information…hmmmmmm.
Hmm, “Other.” Had not thought of that. Hoping they fix this soon.
Yeah, I lost a carefully crafted uber-comment the other day, and felt the vein in my neck start to throb.
My own personal beta-hatred trip is that it took me a week of nearly constant trying to get an image in my header. And I had to change my site-meter because the code for the one I had in classic blogger kept giving me a message starting in ‘Error’ and ending in some letters I didn’t understand.
I have yet to have that problem with Blogger beta…keeping my fingers crossed;>
I am still struggling with Beta. I can’t get my links to work that used ot be in my sidebar. It’s very frustrating. I didn’t knwo what I was doing before and now I know less. And loggin in a gajillion times! ARGHHHhhhh
I use beta for my MIL-safe family-photos blog but haven’t been nagged for my regular blog. I wonder why. But not much.
I only have a problem with beta when I’m using gmail. I have 2 gmail accounts, one with my full name and one with kate2kids that I use for blogstuff. And if I’m on gmail in another window, it messes with blogger.
I have not moved to Beta yet. I hear nothing good. So I will not move. Nope. Can’t make me. Na-na-naaa-na.
Kate, that COULD be my problem. I’ll definitely have to experiment with gmail open & closed.
Wicked smaaahhhht, I tell you. Wicked.
